So your first month was hard because of being in the nicu. Second month was hard because we were trying to figure out our own schedule at home and learn when to put you down without getting you over tired. You had troubles with colic, gas, and reflux. Those two months were a bit rough.
When 3 months came, things got better! You finally started to sleep a little longer at night and the colic seemed to mainly go away too. We're still dealing with your gas and reflux issues (both are so extremely frustrating since you cry in pain and we can only do so much to help soothe the discomfort).
You get so hot in your car seat and can't stop looking around when we take you somewhere. You had your first trip this past weekend to Dallas for Uncle Eric & Aunt Kaitlyn's wedding. Even though you barely slept on the way up and cried almost all the way home, you did great while we were there!
You started to sleep longer stretches at night right before our trip. We were worried it might mess that up, but nighttime went well. We're still working on getting your naps back after that trip but it's pretty close. You seem to start nighttime even if we haven't done our routine yet, so we're still trying to figure out what the best time/new routine should be. Still working on having you sleep in your crib too.
You love having conversations with your dad and me, especially in the morning or right before falling asleep. You've started to drool more and like to suck on your hands when you find them. You're starting to get better and better at lifting and holding your head up during tummy time for longer periods of time. Every now and then it looks like you might tip enough in one direction to roll over, but it hasn't happened just yet. You give so many smiles and even little giggles. This month has shown us so much of your happy personality, and we love it.
