Elliott's 5 months old

You have grown soooo much! I sometimes just can't believe how big you are now.

You weigh around 16 pounds. We don't have another visit with your pediatrician until you're 6 months so we can only guess.

You are able to handle your gas a whole lot better now, but your reflux/spit up is a whole other story. Still mainly a happy spitter upper, but we are having to do laundry pretty often. I'm excited for when this will start to go away.

Just when we thought you were getting into a pattern of sleeping well, the 4 month sleep regression came to laugh in our face and make everyone cry. It has sort of mellowed out a bit now, but it was rough. We moved you from our bed to your own crib and while the transition for you went well, stumbling from our room to yours isn't very fun throughout the night. Lately you've been getting up 1-3 times a night, but I'm sure that can change in either direction at any given time. You still will mainly only nap in our arms during the day, even though you sleep in your crib at night.

You are trying sooo hard to sit up but end up falling over if we don't hold you. You love to jump. The Smullens let us borrow their jumperoo, and you go crazy in it. You are starting to tolerate car rides a little better. We bought the noggle to vent air to you, and it seems to help slightly since your back isn't so hot when we get you out.

You enjoy chatting with us and to any of your animals. You're getting pretty high pitched now too. You enjoy being outside and watch Lily try to get a squirrel. You still don't like to show us that you can roll over. You love to eat your hands but nothing else.

Elliott, you're growing so big and learning so much. Can't wait to see what this next month will bring.
