I just realized I haven't posted anything about what has been going on so far this year, and we're half way into February. So here is a quick run down...
- Kim and I cheered Marisa on as she finished her first half marathon
- Lily likes the new dog park off Allen, but it is way too crowded since it's new. Hoping it calms down soon so we can keep taking her there.
- Got a much needed haircut
- Ryan took me to see The Book of Mormon
- Paw-Paw turned 85 this year!
- Ryan finally drank 200 different beers at The Flying Saucer and got his plate on the wall (it's upstairs if you want to find it)
- Lauri welcomed baby Audrey in February
- Got to catch up with some high school friends at Michelle's baby shower. Michelle is due one month before me. I'm excited for her little girl and my little boy to meet and have play dates in the future.
- Family time of course (we try to meet every week). My nieces are growing up so fast.
- Friend time of course. Their kids are also growing up so fast.
- Crawfish season has started, and I've had some almost every other weekend.
- Got a much needed massage
Upcoming things I'm looking forward to: Tết (Vietnamese New Year), Baby Newman's baby showers, getting to see baby boy at another ultrasound, and friends coming into town.

Baby Update - 24 weeks
We've made it to 6 months now and changes are happening. Baby boy moves all of the time. Ryan is able to feel him move now too, and we can tell they are getting stronger. Sometimes we can see the movements on my belly.
I realized I was wearing the same shirt that I wore when I took our first "belly" picture the day we got a positive pregnancy test, so I took another photo today as a comparison (5 weeks vs 24 weeks).
I thought for a while there, my belly was growing slowly, but now it just feels like it keeps expanding. I know it is suppose to keep growing, but I guess I am just now realizing how much it has grown. I felt like I was in my normal jeans and clothes a week or two ago. I don't think I can fit into them anymore. I'm excited to know that he is getting bigger. I'm also a little nervous about how much more my belly is going to grow.
Some insomnia has kicked in. I'm going to sleep much later although I'm resting in bed hoping to fall asleep before then. Randomly, I'm able to breathe through my nose again and find it fun when I can actually smell things for a brief while. These are all small things though, and I'm so very thankful that this has been a pretty easy pregnancy so far. Hope it continues to be even though I heard the third trimester can be very uncomfortable... We'll see!
